Commemorating the release of the “2-fun de Tsukuru! Gundam Meikan Gum” mini plastic model kit (250 yen before tax) from Bandai Co., Ltd.’s candy division based on the Mobile Suit Gundam anime series, the “Tateyo Shokugan!” campaign begins on June 28. Winners will receive up to 108 Zaku II (clear green ver.) units!

Fans can apply by mailing in six tickets included with “2-fun de Tsukuru! Gundam Meikan Gum,” and five winners will receive the special prize: “Zaku II 4 Battalions (108-figure set) + Zum City Background Board”! Five-hundred second place winners will win a “Zaku II Troop (9-figure set) + Zum City Background Board.”
Zaku II has been specially colored in semi-transparent green. The capital city of the Principality of Zeon, Zum City, is set as the background in A4 size. By lining up the 108 palm-sized Zaku II units in front of it, you can recreate a sortie scene. The application period is from June 28 to Oct. 31, 2016.
■ About the Series
These palm-sized plastic model kits are recreations of the mobile suits, battleships, space fortresses, and other significant imagery in the Mobile Suit Gundam anime series. In addition to Gundam and Gundam Barbatos, it has included the setting for the final battle in Mobile Suit Gundam, the space fortress A Baoa Quo, as well as the mobile armor from Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, Shamblo. It’s lineup includes a total of 32 possibilities with 16 figures in 2 colors: gunmetal, which emphasizes details, and the beautifully reflective clear. (figures are sold randomly)
