WizSpo!!, a company that organises and manages running and cycling sporting events, is holding the Mt. Fuji Eco Cycling 2016 Fuji Five Lakes Cycle Tour this September! Taking place on Sept. 3 and 4, this cycling event with an eco objective takes cyclists through the incredible natural environment around Mt. Fuji.

Check out the event website here.
■ What is the Mt. Fuji Eco Cycling 2016 Fuji Five Lakes Cycle Tour?
In this eco cycling event, participants can admire stunning views of Mt. Fuji, the symbol of Japan, which was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013. And what better way to immerse yourself in the gorgeous nature that surrounds Mt. Fuji than by bicycle - it's good for your health and good for the environment!
Participants cycle with a statement declaring their eco ambitions attached to their bicycle, raising awareness of environmental issues throughout the event. Starting at Lake Yamanaka (or Yamanakako in Japanese), the 120-kilometer, 60-kilometer, and 25-kilometer courses take cyclists on a tour around Fuji Five Lakes, and since the ups and downs are very gentle it's the perfect course for everyone from cycling experts to total beginners.

■ There are plenty of cycling events to take part in!
On Saturday, Sept. 3, there will be a Long Ride Course to ensure everyone cycles safely, plus a variety of fun events like a rock, paper, scissors tournament, an "Activity Experience," and loads more. The main cycling event takes place on Sunday, Sept. 4. Challenge Cycling is the longest course at 120 kilometers, and it features six aid stations along the way, and even the opportunity to enjoy cuisine made using plenty of local ingredients from around Mt. Fuji.
All participants need to sign up by Tuesday, Aug. 16. You can apply through this website.
This is the ninth event in Tour de Nippon, the cycling event organised by WizSpo!! that lets participants experience the charms of several regions across Japan.
