It has been revealed that Saga Prefecture has put together the “Saga Matsuri ~Saga mo Saikou!!!!!!~” event as a part of its local project “Saga Prize!” and as collaboration with the anime Osomatsu-san.
In addition to being home to one of Japan’s three great pine forests, Nijino Matsubara, Saga Prefecture is packed with products and names that use matsu (Japanese for pine). This summer, a collaborative project bringing together Osomatsu-san (set in Karatsu, Saga) and that theme of matsu has taken root.
Prior to the event in Saga Prefecture there will be a special limited-time event at Saga Matsuri Izakaya in Ikebukuro from June 30 until July 3 so fans in Tokyo can enjoy the Saga Matsuri, as well!
Saga Matsuri Izakaya has redesigned its interior based on the izakaya (Japanese for a bar or pub) in the anime. They’re also offering a collaborative menu based on the characters using famous Saga products, as well as limited edition goods.
The latest details will be released through the official Saga Matsuri Twitter account. If you happen to be in the area this summer, be sure to check out the Saga Prefecture and Osomatsu-san “Saga Matsuri ~Saga mo Saikou!!!!!!~” events!
