TMS Music Co., Ltd. has finally announced the ending theme for the TV anime Bananya airing on TV Saitama beginning July 4! The song is titled “Lucky Holiday” and it is performed by AXELL with Bananya (CV: Yuki Kaji). The single with the same title is scheduled to be released on Aug. 31.
The Birth of a Cute Song Full of Energy
“Lucky Holiday” is a special collaboration between Bananya and the boyish girls’ group AXELL created with the concept “what if Bananya was a human boy?” in mind. The cute song features AXELL’s energetic vocals and interjections from Bananya. The single is planned to be released on Aug. 31. About Bananya
A popular character created by Q-LiA, Bananya is a mysterious kitty hiding inside a banana. He gained instant fame on Twitter and Instagram after his debut in March 2015 on a street wagon at First Avenue Tokyo Station. He has fans ranging from elementary students to adults who love mascot characters. In fact, he is loved so much that all Bananya mascot items sold out in a day in the character shop at Haneda Airport!
About the Boyish Girl Band AXELL
The group was born during the Fudanjuku Next Generation Audition held by Fudanjuku (Nakano Fujo Sisters), an idol group under the egis of K Dash. All of its members are in their teens. They have performed as backup dancers for Fudanjuku, at Nakano Sun Plaza, and at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall, and nothing proves their popularity and talent better than the fact that tickets were sold out for all of their live performances even before their debut.
