Brand New Next Generation Virtual Reality Rollercoaster VR Adventure Ready for Launch at Japanese Theme Park Lagunasia from July 16!

A new virtual reality roller coaster titled VR Adventure is set to open at Laguna Ten Bosch’s Langunasia theme park from July 16.

Ride in motion

The VR Adventure is a new ride at Japanese amusement park Lagunasia and uses its Pirates Blast roller coaster as a base. Riders don VR headgear and experience the coaster through the head mounted display (HMD). Watching the HMD and feeling the motion of the coaster at the same time provides the kind of “realistic vision” you can only get from VR. You can see where you’re going, but also in all other directions too so the virtual world continues to expand around you. The sensation of speed you get from from the roller coaster plus the VR display really makes you feel alive!

The VR Adventure has the ability to change its scenarios from time to time offering upgrades along the way. The first installment is titled “Mirai Toshi - High up in the Sky” (Future City - High up in the Sky). Of course, you don’t have to put on the VR gear if you don’t want to, you can still have fun on the regular Pirates Blast roller coaster just like before.
