Available on Bandai’s official shopping site, Premium Bandai, is the palm-sized figure series Palmate! These extra-small figures let you feel closer to your favorite characters than ever before, and pre-orders for a palm-sized version of Mao Isara, “Palmate Ensemble Stars! Mao Isara” (4,968 yen, tax and shipping included, handling separate), began on June 9 at 4:00 pm! He’s recreated based on his appearance in Ensemble Stars!, the popular idol-training social game.

■ About the Figure
Developed by MegaHouse, the Palmate series allows you to feel closer than ever before to your favorite characters. Making an appearance this time is Mao Isara from the popular idol training social game Ensemble Stars! released in 2015. Mao took first place in Animate’s summer poll last year for fans’ dream unit, and he’s depicted in his white outfit from the game in a duel pose.
He’s relaxing with a smile, and his black gloves and long white boots were carefully recreated with creases and ornaments. He’s great for setting on a desk, but you can enjoy holding him in the palm of your hand, and his small size and fun pose mean he’s fun for setting up in a variety of places. Mao Isara’s childhood friend, Ritsu Sakuma, is currently being developed as the second release in this Palmate series.
Mao Isara (CV: Yuki Kaji)
Mao Isara appears in Ensemble Stars! as a second year student at Shiritsu Yume no Saki Gakuin and member of the idol unit Trickstar. He helps despite complaining and takes care of those in trouble, and despite not liking trouble, he always seems to get wrapped up in it. His catchphrase is “a genius clad in disaster.”

Based around the theme of letting fans feel closer to their favorite characters through palm-sized figures, this series from MegaHouse features painted and finished figures. They’re compact and approximately 8 cm or 3.1” tall. Featured series have included Tiger & Bunny, Ace of Diamond, Yowamushi Pedal: Grande Road, and Osomatsu-san.

A male idol-training social game released by Happy Elements in 2015. You move into Shiritsu Yume no Saki Gakuin as a female student in the Producer Department and act as the producer for 33 different male idols. As of March 2016, it has been downloaded more than 1.5 million times, and there are plans for anime and stage adaptations. A commercial featuring the Kano sisters performing as Ensemble Stars! accredited producers has also been very popular.
