Durarara!! x2 is a popular anime series full of an epic feel that spans three seasons and even a theatrical screening. The networks and broadcast dates of the final third season have been announced. The anime will premiere on Jan. 9, 2016 on Tokyo MX, MBS, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS11. Broadcasts will also be held on CBC. The anime is confirmed for a late night broadcast time, so it seems many fans will be able to enjoy it at the same time.
Along with this announcement, a new visual has been released as well. Because it’s our first look at the third season, let’s take a careful look. Depicted in the middle are Mikado, Masaomi, and Anri whose fates are a curious point of season 3. And facing these three are Izaya and Shizuo, whose intertwined fates too will be a highlight in the third season. The visual also gives the feeling that big developments are in store for the story, with Shinra featured and a severed head drawn in the foreground. The visual gives plenty to look forward to for the January start of Durarara!! x2 Ketsu.
*Durarara!! x2 is an anime adaptation of a popular novel series by Ryohgo Narita. The series was adapted into a TV anime in 2010 and gained massive popularity. Five years later, the series returned with a sequel divided into three seasons. Durarara!! x2 Sho began in January of this year, Durarara!! x2 Ten in July, and now we’ve come to Durarara!! x2 Ketsu. With the first act of the original novel series entirely drawn out, there’s no doubt we’re in for a grand climax. What will the series’ idiosyncratic characters face off against?
