Sailor Moon is coming to the famous Ikebukuro Sunshine City spot and amusement center, Namja Town. The tie-in event “Sailor Moon Crystal in Namja Town” will be held from Friday, Sept. 25 to Sunday, Dec. 13. It will be the first time the series is featured in Namja Town.
Sailor Moon Crystal is the newest anime based on the popular manga Sailor Moon. The series was first made available through worldwide online streaming in 2014 and quickly became a hit. TV broadcasts also began earlier this year in April. Though tie-in events with many anime have been held prior in Namja Town, this will be the first for Sailor Moon.
At the event, which kicks off on Sept. 25, there will be original collaboration food and drink items. Many varied plans are in the works as well including original merchandise for sale. There will also be displays of key art and more from Sailor Moon Crystal to enjoy. It’s safe to say it’s an event fans are looking forward to.
The original food items include those themed after the Sailor Senshi, Tuxedo Mask, and Luna, among other characters. There’s “Sailor Moon’s Moon Stick Soft Serve,” “Ami-chan’s Late-Night Boiled Gyoza,” “Go! Sailor Planet Attack with Gyoza!” and more. There are also five drinks each themed after a Sailor Senshi, including “Mars Berry Milk” and “Jupiter Cream Soda.”
Sales of original merchandise will begin on Oct. 30 and include a headband with cat ears and items with a cat tail that have unique Namja Town designs. Garapon prizes will also be on hand.
