On Sept. 14, Capcom announced that it would be adding a new character to its lineup of Street Fighter V (PC/PS4) characters. The character, Rashid, is a soldier from the Middle East.

Rashid is the second new character to be announced since the character Necalli was revealed earlier this year. He utilizes a parkour-inspired fighting style that features wind attacks and agile footwork. While his fighting style appears to prominently feature strong jump attacks, it also has developed anti-air moves and surprise attacks that are fit to handle any opponent.

V Trigger
Iusaru (Tornado)
Rashid can create a large whirlwind in front of himself. If effective, it can sweep an opponent up into the air leaving them vulnerable to supplementary attacks. The whirlwind lasts for a long time, so it can be used for both defensive and offensive purposes.

V Assault
Front Flip
While facing an opponent, Rashid gracefully traces a perfect arc with this jump move. It’s a handy attack that gets you behind your opponent. You can also add some mid-air kicks to catch them off guard.

Special Attacks
Whirlwind Shot
This is a whirling tornado that Rashid creates with his legs. It goes upwards diagonally and its path can be adjusted with the Weak, Medium, and Heavy attack buttons. This move is capable of suppressing an opponent’s jump attacks.

Eagle Spike
This is a straightforward dash jump kick attack. The dash length can be adjusted with the Weak, Middle, and Heavy attack buttons. The speed of this move makes it an effective surprise attack.
Critical Arts
Altair
This is a bigger tornado than Iusaru that carries opponents high in the air to subject them to a flurry of strong kicks! With Rashid’s parkour-trained leg strength and wind-conjuring abilities, this is a Critical Arts that only he could be capable of pulling off.

The new Street Fighter V game will be playable for the first time at Capcom’s 2015 Tokyo Game Show booth! Rashid will be available to play as well so be sure to check it out if you can!
