This time it’s Adolf Reinhardt. Round 2 of Tadashi Harada of Shiseido’s TerraFormars 3D project
Tadashi Harada, renowned Shiseido hair and makeup artist, has collaborated with a popular manga on a new creative endeavor. Harada previously challenged himself with JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and TerraFormars female character Michelle K. Davis, and the character this time is once again from TerraFormars.
Adolf Reinhardt, a quiet young man from Germany, is the leader of the fifth Annex 1 exploration party whose powers come from the electric eel. The completed visual which Harada poured expressiveness and beautiful techniques into is so lovely and intense it’s as if it embodies the character and his powers. This project comes just in time for the release of the 13th tankobon volume of the manga on May 19. Adolf Reinhardt can also be seen on the official Shiseido professional site beginning May 22.
A joint promotion between Shiseido and Shueisha also began on May 19. During the promotion, limited beauty stores that carry Shiseido professional products will be distributing TerraFormars and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure booklets as well as comics to trial read. These trial comics were newly produced by Shueisha and include the first chapter of JoJolion and the first two chapters of TerraFormars. These special comics can’t be read anywhere else.
In other news, Harada’s work currently graces the interior of the Tokyo Metro Ginza Station as big-size advertisements. These focus on Adolf Reinhardt, Michelle K. Davis, JoJolion, Josuke, and Jolyne. Harada’s new 3D works are also published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on sale May 21. From hereon as well, we won’t be able to take our eyes off this project between Shiseido and the popular manga JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
