Meatballs of Migi from Parasyte?! “Meat Fes” cute and disgusting collaboration dish announced
Parasyte: Part 2, soon to be released in theaters Japan-wide on April 25, is collaborating with “Meat Fest,” an enormous food event and the largest in Japan. As a highlight of the event, a collaboration food dish called “ Migi Ball” has been created. Migi is a parasite that infects the right hand of the series’ main character. A strange dish to go along with the movie’s release, this cute but disgusting dish is likely to draw massive attention.
Nama Fes, a food event that gathers in one place meat dishes from Japan and abroad, will be held in three cities: Komazawa in Tokyo, Makuhari in Chiba, and Yokosuka in Kanagawa. The collaboration dish “Migi Ball” will be available for three days at the Tokyo event, from May 2-4, and only 300 will be available per day. The plate is arranged with shapes that look like Migi’s eyeballs, and its disgusting appearance requires a bit of courage to eat.
However, the dish has enticing flavors, with meatballs made from 100% Japanese Black cattle cooked together with a special demi-glace. Director Takashi Yamazaki, who sampled the dish, gave it his stamp of approval, saying, “Contrary to its shocking appearance, I was surprised that it’s actually perfectly delicious.”
Director Yamazaki had the following to say to fans: “You, who want to completely devour Migi! Definitely try it once. Join with a parasite and you may gain new powers!” Despite its appearance, fans should definitely try this collaboration dish. Also, on the first day of sales, May 2, Migi will liven up the event with an appearance. The “Migi Ball” dish costs 1,400 yen (including tax).
The movie Parasyte is a live-action adaptation of a manga authored by Hitoshi Iwaaki serialized in Monthly Afternoon (Kodansha) and other magazines. The first part of the movie was released in 2014. What kind of finale will be reached in the sequel, Parasyte: Part 2?
