The newest season in the astonishingly popular drama series 24, 24: Live Another Day, will finally be released on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan on March 4. A certain manga artist has given his support to the series in celebration of this release.
Hiro Mashima, a popular manga artist famous for Fairy Tail and other works, has drawn an illustration of protagonist Jack Bauer. The illustration shows Jack holding up his pistol with a cold expression and flames leaping up behind him. A collaboration with 24, the illustration was even released on Feb. 24 in honor of the series.
24 is a popular drama with thrills and danger one after the next and a story that takes place in real time. The newest season in the series is titled 24: Live Another Day. The story takes place in London four years after the events of the previous season. While hiding in Western Europe, Jack, who has become a fugitive, gains classified information about an assassination plot against the President of the United States. Jack hurries to prevent the assassination while evading those who are after him. The story involves terrorist hijackings of unmanned military drones with the state of the world hanging in the balance moment by moment. It will blow you away.
The collaboration came about due to Mashima being a huge fan of the series. Those who knew this contacted Mashima through his editorial department to set it up. He took time from his tight schedule to put his all into drawing Jack Bauer.
Adding more excitement to the collaboration, the following message from Mashima was released along with the illustration: “Jack Bauer has returned! Jack will once again battle with his own sense of justice in order to protect those he loves. It will be thrilling to the MAX until the last second!”
