Popular TV anime Kantai Collection (KanColle), broadcast from January 2015, has collaborated with pizza chain restaurant Pizza Hut. The campaign's name “Pizza Hut Hakuchi Teitoku Hokyuu Sakusen - Pizza wo Hokyuu Shite Hoshuu o Kakutokuseyo!” (Port Pizza Hut Admiral Supply Tactics - Replenish Your Pizza Supplies and Get a Reward!) follows the world of KanColle. The campaign will run from Monday, Feb. 23 to Sunday, April 5.
During the campaign, those who order a medium-size pizza can expect to receive a “Kantai Collection Reward.” Customers will also get a specially illustrated pizza box and clear file! (Special gifts awarded on a first-come, first-served basis).
The main campaign visual features illustrations of four of the Destroyer Division 6 fleet girls - Akatsuki, Hibiki, Ikazuchi, and Inazuma. This newly illustrated image featuring an everyday scene like picking up a pizza is sure to prove irresistible to fans. There will be a series of two clear files released. The first file featuring the campaign’s main visual image of the four girls will be available from Feb. 23 to March 15, and the second file will be available from March 16 to April 5. The design for the second file has not yet been publicly revealed.
In addition, those who order from Pizza Hut Online will be entered into a lottery to win premium goods. Twelve entrants will win an original Pizza Hut life-size character panel, five entrants will win a Pizza Hut original campaign poster signed by the cast, and another five entrants will each win a signed KanColle TV anime poster.
Also, during the campaign, Tokyo’s Kanda Pizza Hut branch will be kitted out with KanColle artwork. The store will be covered in KanColle characters, with different characters for lunch and evening. The store’s delivery bikes will also feature KanColle livery with a total of six KanColle bikes running flat out through the city - you’ll have to be pretty lucky to spot one! Also, when you purchase a take-out medium pizza from the Kanda Pizza Hut, you’ll receive a special Shimakaze card sticker. (card sticker subject to availability - seeing as KanColle is such a popular show there’s a chance you admirals wanting pizza supplies may flood the store during the campaign!)
