IA / Kagerou Project Event in Kinokuniya Bookstores! Concert Video Encore Screening & Limited Goods Planned

An encore screening of a concert video of the popular IA featured at the after party to New York Comic Con 2014 (NYCC), held in New York in October, will be held at Kinokuniya bookstores in the U.S. in December.

This concert video shown at NYCC is a cool and enthusiastic performance between the 3D IA and a live band. Popular multi-talented Japanese creator Jin was also on stage and together they played songs related to Kagerou Project.

The encore screening will be coming to three Kinokuniya locations: New York, Seattle, and San Francisco. In addition to the screening, there will also be special booths set up selling popular, limited goods from NYCC including T-shirts, posters, CDs, and more. For those who couldn’t buy these at NYCC, this in-store event is a huge opportunity.

The concert screening will be free to attend at each store. The day of the screening in New York also happens to be the day when the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center, a 5-minute walk from Kinokuniya, is officially lit, so why not take a gander at this gigantic 80-foot-tall Christmas tree after attending the screening?

● What is IA?
IA is a virtual vocal software released in 2012 as the sound library to the voice synthesis software “VOCALOID™3” by Japanese corporation Yamaha. The program’s performance has garnered it high popularity worldwide.

● What is Kagerou Project?
A multimedia project created by composer/novelist Jin and illustrator Jitsu. Beginning with the popular anime Mekakucity Actors, stories set in the same world are told through various media including music, manga, novels, and more. As a new type of media in which, for the first time, the entire story is spread out over all media, it is gaining tremendous support from teens especially. Videos related to the project have surpassed 100 million views total.
