The recent film Kyoto Inferno was released on 439 screens countrywide, and its opening weekend totals were 433,346 tickets sold and 592,230,000 yen at the box office. As of Sept. 10, ticket sales have climbed to 3,627,094 and box office earnings have surpassed 4.6 billion yen. The movie continues to amass huge records.
