On July 20 at the MF Bunko J event Summer School Festival 2014 held in Akihabara, Tokyo, new information on TV anime adaptations of the popular MF Bunko J titles Absolute Duo and Madan no Ou to Vanadis was announced.
Creating the animation for Absolute Duo is 8-Bit. The official site has already opened. In addition to the anime, a serialized spin-off comic will begin in Monthly Comic Alive and a special program will be broadcast this fall on Niconico Live.
Though the TV anime Madan no Ou to Vanadis won’t start until October, a teaser site for the anime opened on July 20. Playing the part of main character Tigrevurmud Vorn is Kaito Ishikawa from Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet. Playing the heroine Eleonora Viltaria is Haruka Tomatsu who played Naruko Anjou in the movie Anohana.

■ Absolute Duo Story
《Blaze》― A weapon created by materializing your own soul through sheer strength of will. I Tooru Kokonoe, have that ability, which is said to be possessed only by one person out of every 1,000, and I have transferred into Kouryou Academy, a school that teaches《Blaze》fighting techniques. For some reason, though, my《Blaze》doesn’t have the form of a weapon, but rather a 《shield》. Now, I’m gaining attention in school for my strange ability. And because of the school’s partner system called《Duo》, I now get to spend every minute of the day in a room with a silver-haired girl named Yurie?! The curtain raises on a school battle action that’s all about seizing the future through the bonds of a partner!
■ Madan no Ou to Vanadis Story
Tigrevurmud Vorn is a young feudal lord in a remote area far removed from the city. One day, the country goes to war with its neighbor by order of the king. Ellenora Viltaria is the enemy’s supreme commander and one of the seven Vanadis who were granted powerful armor from the Black Dragon. The moment the bow-wielding young man meets the beautiful, silver-haired Vanadis, the curtains open on a legend of heroes passed down through the ages!
