The new original TV anime Shirogane no Ishi Argevollen that was announced on March 22 on the Warner Home Video stage during Anime Japan 2014 is finally taking shape. On June 9, the official site re-opened and new information is starting to be distributed all at once. Because Argevollen is an original TV anime with no previous manga, games, or light novels, it has been a highly mysterious work up until now. However, an introduction to the world and characters has now been revealed. Moreover, a PV is being distributed that allows viewers a peek into one part if this work’s charms.
The anime is set in a world of continuous fighting in which two countries, Arandas and Ingelmia, have been at war with each other for a very long time. Main character Tokimune Susumu, a recruit of the eighth autonomous unit of Arandas, is stationed in a hidden fortress where he has a fateful encounter with engineer Jamie Hazaford.
The participating staff includes those who have worked on many popular anime, including Atsushi Otsuki ( To Love-Ru Darkness ) as director and Tatsuo Sato ( Martian Successor Nadesico ) as series composer. Producing the anime is Xebec, which have a reputation for mecha and robot anime for their work on Space Battleship Yamato 2199 and Fafner in the Azure among others.
The anime will broadcast on Tokyo MX, MBS, TV Aichi, BS11, AT-X, and other networks, and will begin on TV Tokyo at 23:00 on July 3. The artists for the opening and ending themes have also been announced. The opening theme is “Tough Intention” by Kotoko and the ending theme is “Face” by Sachika Misawa. The singles of these songs will release on July 23 and Aug. 6, respectively. Activity from both of these talented singers is anticipated.
Additionally, character introductions and an introduction to the story are available on the official site. Prepare for the summer broadcast ahead of time by checking it out.
