Legendary Pokémon trainer Red, main character of Pokémon Red/Green and Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen is joining the deformed figure series Nendoroid.
Pre-orders for this figure will be taken for a limited time at all Pokémon Centers from May 24 (Sat.) to June 29 (Sun.). The figure is scheduled to ship out on Sept. 27 (Sat.). The figure will also be sold on Amazon’s Pokémon Store.
Nendoroid is a figure series developed by Good Smile Company, one of the largest figure makers in Japan. This is the first time a character from the Pokémon series will be joining the Nendoroid lineup.
Red has a cute and unmissable charm!
From his image of appearing as a rival trainer in Pokémon Gold/Silver, Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver, and Pokémon Black/White 2, there are many cases online where he is discussed as a slightly dark and “silent character,” but here he has a cute and unmissable charm.
Nendoroid Red
He even comes with a few familiar Pokémon as optional accessories!
Optional parts included with the figure are his backpack, Pokédex, Poké Ball, and Master Ball. Also included as a gorgeous touch are the three famous starter Pokémon: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.
As for expression parts, he comes with his standard expression, a shouting expression, and a smiling expression. These can be used for recreating a variety of poses and scenes, be it a serious battle or carefreely playing with his Pokémon.
Also, according to the figure’s sculptor, Kima, all the parts had to be made round in order to acquire the “ST mark” established by the Japanese Toy Association. This can be said to be a fastidiousness only seen in the range of Pokémon figures to which there is a wide fan base.
