Shogakukan’s Shonen Sunday has brought to the world many popular manga, and on May 14 they announced a big anime project. Anime adaptations for seven popular works from Shonen Sunday have been green-lit all at once. The project’s name is “Anisun.” Each of the anime will be included in a volume of the manga as a special bonus. The first chapter of Magi - Sinbad’s Adventure was published on May 16 and it will release for 10 consecutive months.
The long-awaited titled releasing by the editorial team are Magi - Sinbad’s Adventure, Hayate the Combat Butler, Jōjū Senjin!! Mushibugyo, Fantasista Stella, Anelog, Alice in Borderland, and Nozo × Kimi. The lineup offers a variety of work including those that have already been adapted into an anime before as well as up-and-coming works that are being adapted for the first time. However, what they have in common is that they are all new works. The anime will be unlike anything seen before.
The schedule has already been released and three titles will be published in May, June, and July. The first is Magi: Sinbad’s Adventure - Ba’alu Dungeon Capture Arc Part 1 which is currently serializing on Ura Sunday, a popular webmanga site on which users can read currently hot works. A special version of the third volume of Magi: Sinbad’s Adventure which released on May 16 comes with a DVD included. Releasing in June is Hayate the Combat Butler: Volume A which comes included with the 41st volume of Hayate the Combat Butler, and releasing in July is Jōjū Senjin!! Mushibugyo: OVA #1 which comes included with the 15th volume of Jōjū Senjin!! Mushibugyo. The other four anime will be released consecutively after this.
