The exciting MF Bunko J event Summer School Festival which attracted over 13,000 attendees last year is coming back this year. Summer School Festival 2014 will be held on July 20 in the Akiba Square area of the Akihabara UDX building.
Summer School Festival is an event at which news is collected for light novels and other publications by Kadokawa’s Media Factory BC. There will be stage events, exhibits, and limited goods for sale. Last year’s event was filled with a lineup of works for which anime adaptations were announced all at once including Magical Warfare, Dragonar Academy, No Game No Life, Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance, and Madan no Ō to Vanadis.
The festivities last time also included a live recording of the radio shows Non Non Biyori and Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai on Air Radio as well as stage events for the works The Severing Crime Edge, The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat, and Unbreakable Machine-Doll. Signing events with authors and illustrators will also be held at stores in the area including Animate, Gamers, Toranoana, Melonbooks, K-Books, Book Tower, Yurindo, and Comic Zin.
Details on the event are forthcoming, but because it’s MF Bunko J which has a lineup of many popular works, it’s thought that the event will be lively this time as well. Check the official site for the latest information.
