Psycho-Pass: New Edited Edition will begin airing during Fuji TV’s anime programming block Noitamina beginning in July. This one-hour program will span 11 episodes and include all 22 episodes from Season 1, which broadcast from October 2012 to March 2013, in a re-edited format with new scenes. The content of this version is predicted to inspire not just those who are unfamiliar with the series, but also those who are already fans. The continuation, Psycho-Pass 2, will begin broadcasting this October. It will be interesting to see what kind of story will take place.

The re-edited version will segway into Season 2. And this winter, the all-new movie Psycho Pass the Movie will have a countrywide roadshow release.

Accompanying the start of this Psycho-Pass project, a new visual that represents the entirety of the project was also released. The impressive visual symbolizes the work through main character Akane Tsunemori’s determined expression against a backdrop of the world of Psycho-Pass which is governed by the Sibyl System. A promotional video of the project has also released on the official site.

More details on this project will be updated on the official site soon.

[Story]
A futuristic world in which people’s mental state and personality traits can be measured and quantified. This number can also be applied to crime as a “Crime Coefficient,” and criminals are judged based on this number. The detectives of the Public Safety Bureau's Criminal Investigation Division are a team of “Enforcers,” line troops who catch the criminals, and “Inspectors,” those who watch over and command the Enforcers. Inspectors who have high crime coefficients themselves and who can zero in on the root of crime can of course become superior Enforcers.

Due to their risk of turning into criminals, Enforcers’ investigative activities are closely monitored by the calm discretion of the Inspectors. Members of the Public Safety Bureau's Criminal Investigation Division must execute their duties in a righteous and just manner while keeping their emotions in check.
