At their recent corporate strategy meeting and third quarter results briefing, Nintendo announced that the Wii U game Mario Kart 8 will be released worldwide in May.
Mario Kart 8 is the newest game in the Mario Kart series of racing games that star characters from the world of Super Mario Bros. The game was first announced at E3 2013 held last June. Additions to the existing gameplay elements include “anti-gravity” courses on which players will ascend vertical walls and drive upside down. These are a type of 3D course the likes of which hasn’t been seen before. The newly introduced buggy-type vehicles are also worth noting. A PV was released on Dec. 19, which can be viewed here.
