Director Junichi Sato’s newest work, Zetsumetsu Kigu Shoujo Amazing Twins, will be released as an OVA. Volumes 1 and 2 of the Blu-ray will be released on Feb. 26 and March 26, respectively. In celebration of this, an exhibition introducing Sato’s creative process will be held. Titled “Wonderful, Amazing Worlds Exhibit,” the exhibit will be held from March 6-18 at Pixiv Zingaro in Nagano Broadway, Tokyo. Pixiv Zingaro is an art gallery that actively promotes pop culture and anime.
At the venue, director Sato’s works up until now, which of course includes Zetsumetsu Kigu Shoujo Amazing Twins, will be introduced. Collections of production materials and storyboards for Tamayura and Kaleido Star will also be on display. The project will include a full lineup of valuable materials that can’t normally be seen.
Director Sato got his start at Toei Douga (presently Toei Animation). He worked as the series director of Goldfish Warning!, Sailor Moon, Ojamajo Doremi, and other works starring a female as the lead character. Even after resigning from Toei, he created many popular works including Sgt. Frog and Phi Brain: Puzzle of God. “Wonderful, Amazing Worlds Exhibit” offers a glimpse at the abilities of this director who is a hitmaker in the anime world. It’s not just his anime, but also the exhibit that is worthy of attention.
Other than director Sato, many creators have been gathered for Zetsumetsu Kigu Shoujo Amazing Twins. This includes Mari Okada of Anohana fame as composer and story collaborator and popular illustrator Takehito Harada known from the game Disgaea: Hour of Darkness as original character designer.
The cast as well is comprised of wonderful members. Voicing the main character Aname Todoroki is Aya Uchida of Vividred Operation fame, voicing Lilianne is Satomi Satō of K-On! fame, and voicing Aya is Nao Tōyama of Nisekoi fame.
