Good Smile Company Unveils 2012 Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Version Madoka Kaname Figure!

The all-new movie in the Puella Magi Madoka Magica (MadoMagi) series, Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion, is screening now to rave reviews, and Good Smile Company (GSC) has announced the released of a new figure of main character Madoka Kaname. Due to the many high-quality MadoMagi figures that GSC has released until now, this new figure is one that fans of the series and bishoujo figure fans alike will surely take notice of.

This new figure of Madoka Kaname is based on a key visual drawn by character designer Ume Aoki for last year’s movies Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Beginnings and Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Eternal. Because this figure is based on Aoki’s illustration and differs slightly from Madoka’s design from the anime, it can be enjoyed even more. Areas not shown in the illustration, like the back of her hair and the voluminous frills inside her skirt, have also been carefully crafted in keeping with the design of the illustration.

The figure is 1/8 scale and, including the exclusive base, stands at 190 millimeters in height. It will go on sale in January 2014. Some shops have already stopped accepting pre-orders, so those who want to get their hands on this figure should pre-order it from GSC’s online shop soon.
