On Sept. 25, an art book for Utako Yukihiro’s manga Devils and Realist titled Utako Yukihiro Artworks - Devils and Realist went on sale. To celebrate this release, an exhibit for Devils and Realist opened at Gallery GoFa in Aoyama, Tokyo on Oct. 12.
Devils and Realist, the anime adaptation to which ended in September, spans seven volumes and is currently serializing in the monthly manga magazine Comic Zero-Sum 1. With many of the manuscripts on display and the chance to enjoy large color illustrations up close, fans are happy about this exhibit.
When we went to cover the exhibit, it was quite busy even though it was a weekday, with even female fans visiting as soon as it opened. Beginning with the artbook that the exhibit is based on, there is a wide range of items related to Devils and Realist on display, including manga and goods.
Also on display is a color illustration signed by author Utako Yukihiro when he visited the event. The “Devils and Realist Special Character Cappuccino,” which can’t be tasted anywhere else, is also a highlight.
The eighth volume of Devils and Realist will be released on Dec. 25. From here on, don’t take your eyes off this series.
^1^ A monthly manga magazine published by Ichijinsha. Its main readers are female.
