Production on a continuation to the popular TV anime *Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet*, which was broadcast from April to June of this year, has been announced.
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet is an original robot anime by director Kazuya Murata, who has directed such works as the theatrical anime Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos, and popular scriptwriter Gen Urobuchi, who is affiliated with Nitroplus. Original character designs for the anime were created by popular mangaka Hanaharu Naruko, and the anime was produced by Production I.G.
Since it began broadcasting, the anime has received high praise. A rebroadcast also began on Oct. 10.
Details on this continuation are still unknown, but since the anime is so popular, fans are already voicing their delight over this good news.
