Kamen Rider Gaim, the newest work in the Kamen Rider series which is hugely popular with both kids and adults, began broadcasting on Oct. 6. Attention for Kamen Rider Gaim has been building since the novel idea that the work would be themed around fruit was announced. On top of this, Nitroplus’ Gen Urobuchi who is known for writing Madoka Magica and Psycho-Pass was also announced as the writer of Kamen Rider Gaim. It seems the work will also show a different world than previous Kamen Rider works.
The opening theme to the show is also full of personality. The popular reggae group Shōnan no Kaze, under the name “Gaim no Kaze”, challenged themselves with the opening theme “Just Live More.” Shōnan no Kaze underwent this name change for Kamen Rider Gaim to create a new sensation in the Kamen Rider series. Also, as the commemoration-worthy 15th work in the Heisei Kamen Rider series, Kamen Rider Gaim features an opening that shows the cast showing off a powerful street dancing routine. It’s a must-see.
Furthermore, it’s already been decided that the opening theme will be released on Dec. 11. The bonus for the first pressing limited edition of the CD has also been announced, that being a special “Gaim no Kaze” mini towel. The coupling songs on the CD are still unknown, but the prices have been announced. The first pressing limited edition will cost 3,780 yen, the CD+DVD version will cost 1,890 yen, and the CD-only version will cost 1,260 yen. The DVD will include the music video to the song “Just Live More.”
