A collaborative cafe is now being held for the TV anime Fantasista Doll, which follows the story of Uno Uzume’s heartfelt exchanges with five beautiful “Fantasista Dolls” sealed inside cards she is the master of and uses in battles. The cafe is being held from Aug. 2-18 at Cure Maid Cafe in Akihabara. The anime has been broadcasting in Japan since last month via Tokyo MX, BS 11, AT-X, and Nico Nico Douga. The anime has become a popular topic due to the power duo Gorō Taniguchi ( Code Geass ) and Hisashi Saitō ( Heaven's Lost Property ) working on the series.
Uzume, who is just a typical 14-year-old girl, meets five stunning “Fantasista Dolls” that are called out from cards. She ends up becoming their card master. Although distressed over not becoming accustomed to her duties as a card master, her bonds with the dolls strengthen and she battles on for the sake of protecting the world.
Many colorful Fantasista Doll visuals are on displays at the collaborative cafe, and, of course, there is a menu with food, sweets, and drinks all themed after characters from the anime. Furthermore, fans can receive a special present postcard for each order. There are two versions of postcards, however fans are not allow to choose the design, so if fans would like both or a certain version, they should be prepared to place additional orders. Also, during the duration of the event, related goods are being sold including a cute glass featuring the five dolls that is certainly a must-have item for fans.
Recently, the first five episodes became available to watch for free on the Fantasista Doll channel on Nico Nico Douga. They will be viewable until Aug. 18. If fans have the chance to watch them before heading to the cafe, perhaps it will be an even funner experience!
