Is Hello Kitty in “The Scream”?! New Hello Kitty Artbook Features Historical Artwork!

On July 26, Asunarosya will begin selling the Hello Kitty Museum Art Collection art book via the online shop Artartart and at the limited time shop +Creation at Ecute in Tachikawa. Perfect for history buffs, art connoisseurs, and Hello Kitty fans, the art collection features photos of Hello Kitty making an appearance in various famous masterpieces, such as Hello Kitty looking like a scaredy cat in “The Scream,” an original piece created by Edvard Munch.

This majorly made-over “The Scream” is the first featured part of the collection. It is drawn in the same style and with the same coloring as the original piece. However, this time, a shocked Hello Kitty is depicted in the scenery as well as casually standing in the background. Fans who really enjoy the new piece can also purchase a clear file (368 yen), mini towel (578 yen), plushie with a chain (1,260 yen), and photo (158 yen) of it. The items will also be sold in various museum shops.
