Launching this December, Figure Japan is a figure collector’s magazine that will focus primarily on female figures and focus on one work of the otaku world per issue, as well as come with one character related to the featured work. Good Smile Company has already begun taking reservations for the pre-order-only first issue, which will include a “1/10 Ultimate Madoka” figure and showcase Puella Magi Madoka Magica, the latest film to which will release this fall.
The figure is based on the 1/8 Ultimate Madoka figure which released last December. The fresh new design displays Madoka smiling and sweetly clasping her hands near her heart. Also, using 3D scanning technology the figure has been changed to the optimum size for display. Picking up a copy of Figure Japan is the only way of obtaining this figure. Filled with love, Ultimate Madoka will descend!
Reservations have begun to be accepted for the pre-order-only “Figure Japan: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Edition” at bookshops and hobby shops throughout Japan, as well as on the Hobby Japan Online Shop.
In recent years, the growth of figure modeling techniques has been heating up, and the first issue of Figure Japan is said to be full of such content. From here on, the figure lineup is sure to be on figure fans’ minds, but fans should first be sure to check out the debut issue!
