On July 19, an all-night screening event for Katsuhiro Otomo’s newest work Short Peace will take place. Along with Short Peace being screened a day ahead of its release, the movie Akira will also be screened at the event.

Short Peace is an omnibus comprised of four short films by four directors: Akira’s Otomo, Freedom’s Shuhei Morita, Tekkonkinkreet’s Hiroaki Ando, and mechanical designer on the Mobile Suit Gundam series, Hajime Katoki. The film will also feature an opening by The Animatrix’s Koji Morimoto. This greatly anticipated work has picked up attention from all over the world for the inclusion of these top creators.
