Attack on Titan is a hugely popular anime currently broadcasting throughout Japan. In addition to the original work’s popularity, the series’ fanbase has widen and diversified and it has become widely talked about due to the anime.
On July 9, Animate, a widely known chain of anime shops, plans to begin their Attack on Titan fair. Fans who purchase or pre-order at least 1,000 yen worth of Attack on Titan-related goods, such as books, audio, or art, during the duration of the fair can receive a corps certificate as a present. Fans can receive one present for each 1,000 yen spent on pre-orders or purchases. The fair will be held until Aug. 12 in Animate shops throughout Japan, as well as on Animate’s online shop.
There are seven types of corps certificates all themed after a different character: Erin, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Sasha, Levi, and Erwin. In addition to a character illustration, personal data is written for each member, so it’s also a nice item for those new to Attack on Titan. Fans of the anime may also become interested in obtaining the manga. It will be fun for fans to see what character they get because they will be handed out randomly.
Also on July 9, stamp rally will begin in the “Oshi na Mono Corner” of Animate and Movic stores. The shops that will be holding the stamp rally can be confirmed via Animate’s site. It may be fun to try to participate in both the stamp rally and fair. Also, a must-have item autographed by Levi, the head of the Recon Corps in Attack on Titan, will be available.
