Information on the music to the new film Ghost in the Shell: Arise, which will release in theaters on June 22, has been revealed. Cornelius aka Keigo Oyamada is in charge of the opening theme, and Salyu x Salyu is in charge of the ending theme. Both songs will be released before the movie on June 19.

At the same time, a collaboration product between Cornelius, Ghost in the Shell: Arise, and FM3 Buddha Machine called “Ghost in the Machine” will also go on sale. Buddha Machine is a compact musical drone playback device that was developed by the Peking electronic music group FM3. The device allows for the adjustment of nine built in tones and pitches that can be played back in a continuous loop.

This device isn’t just limited to Asia; it is also loved by well-known artists overseas such as Brian Eno, and it has been featured in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Because of this, it has become popular all over the world.

“Ghost in the Machine” is a custom Buddha Machine that comes pre-loaded with three songs: the opening theme to Ghost in the Shell: Arise and two background tracks. From the machine’s built-in speaker, the sounds of these three songs by Cornelius will come pouring out. Even though it’s compact, the machine’s sound is magnificent and pleasant.

Furthermore, a CD single of the theme song, titled “Ghost in the Shell Arise,” hasn’t been announced, meaning that it will only be available on this collaborative machine. Why not try getting one of these limited machines for yourself? It’s also not bad for closing your eyes while listening to it and imagining the world of Ghost in the Shell: Arise.
