The “Eva T Party” held inside Kyoto Loft ended magnificently. Now, the second part of this event will be held this month in Tokyo. The venue is the official Evangelion Store Tokyo-01 in Harajuku.
The official Evangelion T-shirt store, Eva T Store, is a specialty store that has a total of roughly 700 different Eva shirts. “Eva T Party” began its country-wide tour back in April in celebration of the release of Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo on Blu-ray and DVD. This event at which Eva shirts are sold brings this synergy to a climax.
The lineup for the Tokyo event includes 33 brands and three new styles. Of the 33 brands participating are ones from outside the sphere of apparel that work on anime productions, including Gainax and Khara’s digital department. Among the three new styles of shirts are one that is an event original that is designed around a key visual that includes Kaworu, Shinji, Asuka, Rei, and Mari; one that is a collaboration with Eva Custom that is limited to the store; and one that uses Eva Store’s original “AAA Wunder.” As both fashion and art, these shirts that depict various aspects of the world of Evangelion can be enjoyed in various ways.
Other than these, the shop will also sell iPhone cases, and, keeping with the “T” theme, cups for tea and tea leaves. The venues for forthcoming parts of this event have also been determined. The third part of the event will be held from July 1-31 at Okinawa-jima Animate, and the fourth part will be held in August at Fuji Q Highland’s Evangelion World. Furthermore, the exhibit “Sadamoto Yoshiyuki’s Original Picture Exhibit” will be held in July to commemorate the conclusion of the manga Neon Genesis Evangelion. From here on, don’t take your eyes off of Evangelion.
