This July, the anime Senki Zesshou Symphogear G will begin broadcasting via Tokyo MX and other networks. It is the anticipated sequel to the popular 2012 anime Senki Zesshou Symphogear. On May 24, the second season’s official site finally opened. On the site, all of the preparations and force behind gearing up for the anime’s broadcast is displayed.
Together with the site’s launch, a premiere screening event of the anime’s first episode was announced. On June 24, fans can gather at Shinjuku Milano 1 to appreciate the work ahead of the broadcast. The anime’s main cast will also attend and discuss their enthusiasm for the new season. Voice stars Aoi Yuuki (Tachibana Hibiki), Nana Mizuki (Kazanari Tsubasa), and Ayahi Takagaki (Yukine Kurisu), who all also worked on the first season, will be participating. The premiere will be a large-scale event because 1,000 fans will be able to gather at Shinjuku Milano 1, Japan’s most accommodating theater.
The first season of the anime was also screened ahead of its broadcast at this same location. Since it has been about two years, there will most likely be a full house due to the many fans attending. The official site is currently accepting applications for the event. Also, the second season’s key visuals and story synopsis have been revealed. Details on the anime have been tightly veiled, but it seems fans can expect even more development than the first season. Fans are waiting expectantly for the broadcast to commence this July.
Noriyasu Agematsu, a member of the music producing group Elements Garden, and game creator Akifumi Kaneko created the original work for Senki Zesshou Symphogear. The work is bathed in attention of course for its visuals, but also for the power poured into its music, and it has acquired many fans.
The story follows three characters - Tachibana Hibiki, Kazanari Tsubasa, and Yukine Chris - who wield a device called a Symphogear and fight against an alien race called the Noise. The Symphogear are maintained by the Japanese government and are the only means of counterattacking the Noise. At the end of the first season, the characters were able to thwart Fine’s lunar attack. Three months after that, the girls are tasked with delivering the perfect holy relic, “Sakuristo S.” A legion of Noise being commanded by someone then appear along with a singing voice. The curtain raises on a new musical fight for the girls.
