Shooting Attraction Based on “Resident Evil” to Open for a Limited Time at Universal Studios Japan

Beginning in July, Capcom will open a limited time attraction called “Biohazard the Real” at Universal Studios Japan based on its series Resident Evil.

“Biohazard the Real” is being uncompromisingly created by both Capcom and Universal Studios to be an attraction that recreates the world of Resident Evil. There are many highlights regarding this attraction, including utilization of a shooting system employed by police and military units worldwide and huge, realistic creatures being made by modeler Wakase Shinichi, who also worked on Godzilla and Mothra.

Participants will be given a realistic-feeling replica gun and a “Contagion Meter” that shows the level of infection of the virus. While tasting the feeling of fear and tension, participants will fight against various creatures in a battle to stay alive until the end. Furthermore, the attraction will boast a high level of difficulty, with the probability of making it through without getting infected close to zero percent.

While the attraction is being held, collaboration food and goods that can’t be obtained anywhere else will be on sale. Fully experience this groundbreaking attraction!
