The girl group ClariS, who are currently in high school, will release their second album Second Story on June 26. Now, the jacket design of the album has been released. Up until now, the jackets of ClariS’ singles and albums have been designed after candy, like macarons, popsicles, and cake. The jacket for the new CD evolves this concept even more. The jacket is colored with a gingerbread house made out of real candy.
Furthermore, there is a special sleeve on the limited edition that is worth taking note of. The production team of the TV and movie series Puella Magi Madoka Magica, for which ClariS have offered their music, created an original drawing for this album. Fans will not want to miss it.
Recently, TV commercials for Second Story began airing that are narrated by the voices of Kirino and Kuroneko from Oreimo and Homura and Madoka from Madoka Magica. Receiving support from wonderful artists and talent gives their music alone a fascinating advantage.
The pre-order exclusive limited edition costs 4,000 yen (tax included) and comes a DVD and Graphig along with the CD. The DVD comes with music videos from three of their previous singles as well as the album’s lead song, “With You.” Also on the DVD is a compilation of the currently airing TV commercials for the album. A Graphig papercraft of ClariS (Reunion Ver.) is also included in this edition.
The special sleeve drawn by the production team on Madoka Magica will only be sold with the limited edition until September. This edition costs 3,600 yen (tax included) and comes with the aforementioned DVD. A regular edition of the CD will also go on sale for 3,059 yen (tax included).
