
Kaga Create has greenlit BlazBlue: Alter Memory, an anime adaptation of the popular fighting game BlazBlue. The anime is planned to air this fall.
Within Japan, there are over 2,000 BlazBlue arcade machines. The popular series has also achieved over 400,000 copies sold of the home version of its games. However, its popularity isn’t just limited to games. On Nico Nico Douga, “BlazBlue Radio” has broken through a cummulative total of 20 million views. The anime’s cast will be the same voice stars from the games. The familiar characters Noel, Ragna, and Jin will play an active role in the anime adaptation.
BlazBlue Alter Memory Synopsis:
December 2199 A.D.
The year has come to an end, and the town had become lively awaiting the New Year. In the midst of such activity, Ragna the Bloodedge, the SS-class rebel with the largest bounty in history atop his head, was heard to be in the 13th Hierarchical City of Kagutsuchi.
Ragna is also known as the “Grim Reaper,” and it’s said that his goal is the destruction of the controlling organization. Motivated by the hefty bounty and the Azure Grimoire that Ragna posses, various people gather in Kagutsuchi.
