The new era of the Ghost in the Shell series has begun as the release date of the first film of the Ghost in the Shell: Arise four-film series approaches. On June 22, Ghost in the Shell: Arise Border 1: Ghost Pain will release throughout Japan.
Before the start of this new series, a limited quantity of advance movie tickets included in a DVD that will allow fans to deepen their knowledge of the series’ world has gone on sale on Bandai Visual’s official site to Bandai Visual Club members. Fans can purchase this DVD that comes furnished with an “Invitation to Arise” advance ticket.
This advance ticket is the premier highlight of this DVD pack, which covers the world of Arise. The DVD also includes stage performances and special discussions featuring general manager Kazuchika Kise, Border 1 director Masahiko Murata, and Production I.G representative director Mitsuhisa Ishikawa. Additional information, theatrical trailers, and promotional videos are also included. The run time of the DVD is roughly 35 minutes. With this, you can get a quick grasp on the series.
Aside from the DVD, an A4-size, 48-page full-color booklet, theatrical B2-size poster, and press sheet are also included. The booklet enables fan to delve deep into the successive generations of Ghost in the Shell with commentary, character files, setting materials, and more. The complete version of the discussions on the DVD is also included. Fans can completely immerse themselves in the world of Arise with the plethora of content included in the booklet.
Ghost in the Shell: Arise Border 1: Ghost Pain is planned to release in 20 theaters throughout Japan beginning on June 22. The screening will be limited to two weeks. The DVD and “Invitation to Arise” ticket became available on May 13 for 4,980 yen and will be delivered to fans on June 5. The item will be purchasable up until June 21 or until quantities sell out.
