On April 25, the newest work in the hugely popular game series Steins;Gate, Steins;Gate: Senkei Kousoku no Phenogram, was released simultaneously for the PS3 and Xbox 360. In commemoration, collaborative cafés are open for a limited time in Cure Maid Café and Pasela Akihabara Electric Town.
What is turning heads at the café, to say the least, is the exquisite cuisine. The menu features gyudon (rice covered with beef and vegetables) from the lab members’ much loved gyudon shop called Sanbo, which apparently exists in every world line, and a delicious apple pie made by Kurisu who is now skilled at making food unlike how she was in the series. Fans are particularly impressed with a sweet item made in the image of a gel banana. The menu features a full array of items that combine deliciousness with the mood of the series.
As if that wasn’t enough, those who order from the collab menu will receive special goods that can’t be found anywhere else. Furthermore, the cafés are selling the newest Steins;Gate goods in advance, and they are also decked out with valuable game materials and illustrations on display. Due to all they offer, these collaborative cafés will surely put a smile on the face of any Steins;Gate fan!
The Steins;Gate café in Cure Maid Café has already closed, but the café in Pasela Akihabara Electric Town will run until May 26. For Steins;Gate fans who will be in Akihabara before then, make sure to visit the café!
