On April 20, the Steins;Gate movie was released in Japan. For the first time in the series, the movie depicts a new story told from the point of view of Makise Kurisu. It’s a complete work that can be enjoyed by both those who first watched the anime and those who first played the games, and it’s creating quite an impact.
To ensure that fans can enjoy the world of Steins;Gate even more, new items are being released this summer in Japan. The items are glasses, which fans should be well acquainted with from the series. That’s right, the glasses belonging to the Future Gadget Research Club members Makise Kurisu and Hashida Itaru (Daru) are going on sale.
These glasses have been painstakingly created to be identical to those worn by the characters in the series, and each one has metal frames. The glasses also come with the characters’ well-known lines written in bold letters: “ヽ(*゜д゜)ノ Kaiba” for the Kurisu version and “DaSH” (Dall the Super Hacker) for the Daru version. The glasses can also be taken to a specialist to have the lenses exchanged, so they are great for both cosplay and everyday wear. Both glasses will be released this August with a price of 6,825 yen each (tax included). Pre-order one before they sell out!
