Set in the fictional Fuyuki City, a violent war rages on. That war is called the Holy Grail War. Seven magicians contract with heroic spirits from the past who fight for them in order to win the Holy Grail, which is said to grant one wish to the one who possesses it. Among the web of the desires and wishes of those fighting, one by one they fall. Who will be the one to best all others and win the Holy Grail?
The story of Fate/Zero begins in the early autumn of 1990 at the outset of the Fourth Holy Grail War. This drama that encompasses very peculiar magicians and heroic spirits whose true identities are hidden was made into an anime by the energetic anime studio Ufotable. The anime was highly praised by fans in Japan due to its beautiful art and high quality animation.
The timeline of Fate/Zero also occurs 10 years before the events of Fate/stay night, and it explains many of the mysteries left over in Fate/stay night.
Now, an English dubbed version of Fate/Zero has finally been released by Aniplex on Viz Media’s Neon Alley streaming service.
