“Re:animation5 - Rave in Nakano -” was held on April 13 at the Nakano Station North Plaza in Tokyo, Japan. The event is a fusion of anime culture and club music funded by the crowdfunding service Campfire. The event received over 1.9 million yen, allowing fans to attend for free.
“Re:animation” began in December of 2010 by first holding an outdoor DJ event in Kabukicho, Shinjuku. The fourth event “Re:animation4” had a record 1,300 attendees. The latest event was moved to Nakano due to redevelopment in Kabukicho.
The popular techno group Nirgilis, known for performing the opening theme for Eureka Seven, and well-known DJs performed live. If you are into the rave scene, be sure to plan your next visit to Japan during the next “Re:animation” event!
