The pleasant progression of To Love-Ru Darkness since its transfer to Jump Square is amazing. Along with the impressive momentum of the manga, series creator Kentaro Yabuki has also released a photobook of characters from the series, called Venus, that too become a big hit. The popularity of the series is also heightened by the currently airing anime adaptation, which has picked up a lot of attention.
The series shows no signs of slowing down, and recently an event was held in Akihabara to commemorate the anime’s first volume Blu-ray and DVD, which were released on Dec. 21, 2012. The event centered around the free distribution of special mousepads from the series. The event took place on Dec. 9 and 16, with different mousepads given out on each day. On Dec. 9, mousepads of Kotegawa Yui and Nana were given out, and on Dec. 16, mousepads of Momo and Yami were given out. It was a veritable feast.
The cost of the Blu-ray is 7140 yen and the cost of the DVD is 6090 yen. If you are a fan of the series, make sure to pick it up!
