Representatives from 13 regions including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and North America recently gathered to show off their best work at the Gunpla Builders World Cup 2012. Let’s take a look at the winners.
Junior Course (14 and younger)

Name of Entry: The Zaku (Return of the J.Ridden)
At the awards ceremony, Kunio Okawara, the man in charge of the mecha designs for the anime Mobile Suit Gundam, appeared on stage as a special guest. Looking back on the competition, he said, “I am happy that the love of building Gundams has spread to countries all over the world. I hope you will all try hard for 2013’s competition as well.” His speech incited a massive cheer from all of the participants.
We can’t wait for the next competition to see what kind of works creators will build next!
