I have never bought a model kits before, and obviously have never assembled one. But I loved how the preview looked and decided to give it a try. (I know I know, I should practice elsewhere first.) Upon opening the kits, I was severely disappointed. All the pieces are in solid base colors. No shading or gold painted on. If the images showed a grey colored figure, I would have expected manually painting the pieces is required. (But then again I'm a plastic kit noob, what do I know?) As a result, I haven't touched the kit. (For now.) Assembling Deedlit as is will just look like some cheap toy sitting on my shelf.
