Had never heard of the artist until I saw the book.. Looked her up and bought the book. The paintings are beautiful and ethereal. Now I want books 1 and 2 :P

really happy I got this! I can't read Japanese so I can't read any of the stories/poems(?) accompanying the pictures, but they are colorful and quirky and a real treat to look at.

I'm not familiar with the artist, but I bought the book based on the beautiful sample illustrations shown on the products page. I thought the rest of the book would have detailed, colored illustrations as shown; however, it only lasts for about 1/3-1/2 of the book, and rest is mostly character illustrations - full color, but some of them lack backgrounds, and certainly aren't as detailed as the first few pages. There are also many risque poses and even a bit of nudity, which I wasn't expecting. I wish I could get prints of the first few pages and give the rest of the book to someone else XP

I got the fox scarf... I have a friend who loves foxes so I might get it for her, too. It's extremely soft and has such a funny, bewildered expression. You can keep it close to your neck by using the metal snap to close it over the tail, and that way it won't move, either. I think it'll be great for fall weather; for winter, I'm not sure XD;

I wish I could have won a giant stuffed animal though T_T

I guess I should have looked more closely at the dimensions, because it was smaller than I expected - the artwork is gorgeous, but because the book is so small, so are the details. I wish there was more art in the book, too. If the artist ever publishes a full-size art book, say, A4 size, I'd definitely get that.

Very cheerful to look at, I collect clear folders for their art but if I get the chance I'll be using it to store my files, too ;)

Very cute and pretty, bright colors, smooth. Only issue is that the bottoms of the pillows aren't sewn completely closed like the top and sides, so the thread that makes up the little pom poms poke out a bit... But as long as the pillows themselves don't unravel I'm fine XD

Now, I ADORE Kotori Tai plushies, so it hurts to leave a 3-star review... I don't know if it was the way they were packed or if quality is going down, but my finch and ostrich are both kind of lumpy, and could use more stuffing all around, and the beaks look a little pressed in, like they were shoved in too hard and now they won't return to their proper position. The finch in particular was disappointing; I'd bought it because it looked so unique, you know? But the white spots are made of some sort of paint, and several of the spots were cracked on arrival. Tsumire's head is a little lumpy and one side of his head has more stuffing than the other so his head is asymmetrical, and you have to set him on a very flat surface otherwise his huge head makes him tip over. Another minor imperfection, one of the strings holding his ear down is loose and there's a loose string between one of his paws and his body.

At first he was able to stand on a flat surface; now as time goes on (I've had him for about a month?) it looks like his huge head is weighing him down more and more and he can't stand on his own anymore, he just naturally tips over. The colors are as vibrant in the photo, but I'd love it more if the design came as pictured; I love the two red bands as displayed on the alpaca in the photo, but my rainbow alpaca's colors seem more random; also there are a few bald patches of fur, a definite bald stripe behind the left shoulder and a red blush on the cheeks that isn't seen clearly in the photo. I don't particularly care for the blushing, why are AMUSE's alpacas always blushing? But it's soft and huggable and you don't notice the imperfections too much from a distance.

Just like it says in the title! I got the long-tailed tit and it is very soft, squishable, huggable, pet-able, you name it! the colors contrast nicely with the other kotori tai birds I have ^^

I got the shoebill, the pink cockatoo, and the quetzal... might get the budgie in the future. Overall they are well made and soft and extremely cute and nice to rest my elbows on while we watch anime, and they crowd up my bed and keep me company. However they do not look as perfectly stuffed as on the photos; my pink bird could use a little more stuffing all around, and my shoebill's bill is a little lumpy, and my quetzal's face is a little lopsided... better quality control, please! Love the design, and the socks fit my feet perfectly. Wish I could have all three! I bought the orange one after much deliberation and I'm very happy with it.
