I have to hand it to them, they really spared no expense to make sure it shipped safely. The poster was in a plastic wrapping, and then put inside a poster tube, which was in turn taped to the bottom of a giant (and I mean giant) cardboard box filled with stuffing. I was surprised when it came in, because the box was so big, but I can't complain. The shipping was fast, the poster is excellent quality (note, I bought the horizontal full-cast version), and worth every penny. The poster now adorns the wall next to my monitor :)
