i received miku today. i know sometimes shipping can be rough, but i received a destroyed box. i was instantly terrified about the poor figure on the inside and i opened it up to see a crumpled box wrapped in bubble wrap. looks like y’all need more bubble wrap for a safer travel.

upon unwrapping the bubble wrap, i looked at the box and the very top was smashed. i opened her up and she was in perfect condition, thank the gods. she was super easy to assemble and she had no dents or marks on her at all. tokyo otaku mode definitely needs to use more protective stuff for their larger figures because even with the fragile sticker on the top of the box, it wasn’t enough.

I ordered this back in March and just received it today, June 29, 2021. I can understand that because he came straight from Japan and US customs suck. I was totally understanding of that. But, I had noticed that at one point the product picture changed to the Version B colour (the greenish version) instead of the one i had ordered. i didn’t think anything of it, just thought maybe the Ver. A figure sold out and they replaced it. no big deal.

i’ve never had an issue with TOM shipping. sure it’s slow, but they always reach out to you and tell you when to expect it.
i ordered only one miku noodle stopper. i was very excited to have my first noodle stopper because i had heard so many great things about them.
instead i received two, one of them someone else’s. i contacted him (thank god for the receipts in the box) and he said he had only received one. he had tried to contact TOM several times about it to received no response as to what had happened. i’m just thankful that i got it and someone else didn’t. i will be shipping it back to him.

aizawa was supposed to be a late christmas gift for my best friend. he was supposed to be shipped in february but was put off until may. that’s a very late gift!

anyway, she loves him very much. she had a hard time with some parts, but he is very sturdy and well made. no paint issues that i saw.

I ordered Mai back in November 2020. she was my first pre-order figure. i was super excited to get her around february until she was delayed around 2 more months. i was kind of annoyed, but i did receive her.

she’s kind of small and her pose is balancing, but i can see that at times she can topple over if you accidentally touch her. her tail is kind of hard to reach because of her hair which defeats the purpose of the velvet. but, it makes up for it in the velvet ears. i hate the texture of velvet so i won’t be touching it too much.

she’s super cute and i’m so glad i bought her before she went out of stock. she’s a lot smaller than expected, but that was my fault for not researching it enough.

putting her broom into her hand was a daunting task and i thought i was going to break her, but she was sturdy enough. her ankle and foot seem to have plenty of support so she doesn’t topple over. her hat isn’t a piece that stays on, and it could come off easily if touched, so be aware of that. her head also leans down a bit, so i have to put her up higher so i can see her.

I was one of the last people to preorder her and i was super excited to get my first miku figure. she was pushed back for shipping a few times which was kind of disappointing, but that’s to be expected with UPS being kinda crappy lately.

The figure herself is gorgeous! the colours are perfect and brightly coloured. there is a few seams that you can see if you look close enough, but they’re hidden pretty well with her pigtails. that was the hardest part for me, and in the process one of the hibiscus flowers on the ribbon broke off while assembling but it was a super easy fix. she’s a bit heavy and wide. cant wait the other miku figures i have on preorder!!!...Read moreClose

this figure is absolutely stunning! she’s worth the price. she’s my very first scale figure and i absolutely fell in love when i stumbled across her.

there are a few imperfections though, but you really have to stare at her to really see them. otherwise, she’s perfect!

EDIT: as of Dec 22, 2020, she's still standing. I have noticed though, after placing her around my room to find the best spot for her, that her footpeg for the base is slightly sticking up, but after some force, it goes down pretty well which means that the base hole was made a tad too small for the peg. no worries though! another thing I noticed was that her right hand (the one wit...Read moreClose
