While the shape and texture of these reminded me of cheese puffs, the flavor of these were actually a robust apple - it almost tasted like they had been soaked in apple juice the flavor was so strong (not sure why its has the added designation of "pie," however). When it comes to the texture it should be noted that even though these are described as being "caramel corn" they are not all like traditional caramel corn, that is, having a slightly hard and sticky coating on the outside as instead they were just like usual corn puffs, only apple flavored.
